How to Join

You may join St. Paul United Methodist Church in one of several ways:

By Profession of Faith.

If you are not yet baptized, our Pastor will be happy to discuss the meaning of baptism and church membership with you.

By Transfer from another Christian denomination.

At your request we will write for your letter of membership at your former church.  Because you have already been baptized, baptism will not be repeated. The vows of membership in the United Methodist Church are:

1. “As a member of Christ’s universal church, will you be loyal to the United Methodist Church and do all in your power to strengthen its ministries?”
2. “As a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church will you faithfully participate in its ministries by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service?”

By Transfer from another Methodist Church. 

At your request, we will write for your letter of membership at your former church.  You will be asked to reaffirm the following vow:

“As a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church will you faithfully participate in its ministries by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service?”
